Have you been in contact with any animals while abroad?

The customs officials always ask this question, and I always rack my brain to remember if I have been on a farm or ranch or otherwise had contact with animals -- hoping, of course, that I can honestly say I haven't so I don't suffer any quarantine or whatever they do to you if you say "yes." But today, we came back from a short vacation in Los Cabos, Mexico. When asked that question, I answered, "Well, yes, I hugged and kissed a dolphin." The officer laughed and said "OK, welcome back."
