Fourth of July at The Hot Spot

My friend Charlie Brown (yes, that's her name) brought this cake to the picnic we attended with friends and neighbors along the Gualala River in Sea Ranch on Saturday. I regained my recent weight loss, but the cake and other potluck fare were worth it!

We raised this huge new flag, read the Constitution, sang patriotic songs, and said the Pledge of Allegiance. I must admit that it brought tears to my eyes.
