Even after rain the day after Thanksgiving (which was my parents' 63rd anniversary), the ground was solid. The soils engineer okayed the footings details, and we're off and running! It was a bit of a challenge having my parents there (from Florida) with just a couple of planks leading from the "pad" up about 3 or 4 feet to the front door. We enjoyed our time with them there immensely, despite a little mud and inconvenience.
